I quit drinking all alcohol some time ago. I used to be an enthusiastic amateur wine lover. As time passed, I found myself looking for a holiday or special occasion alternative to juices and soda. I tried a few nonalcoholic wines and found them grapey, but good. I ordered Lancers for the first time a couple months ago, being familiar with it’s reputation as a good midrange blend. I opened the bottle and poured. I was amazed. Most vintners end up adding unfermented juice to bring the alcohol content to orange juice level, which is the required content before you can label a wine nonalcoholic. Lancers has found the secret to dealcoholizing their wines without sacrificing any of the flavor or character. I highly recommend this wine as a party addition; especially for those holding the keys. They can enjoy a good wine without any thought to accidents or breathalyzer tests.

I was satisfied with the taste. The first bottle was not totally consumed the first night and the remainder was placed in the frig overnight. The following day it tasted more like vinegar than wine. The second bottle was consumed in its entirety the first night and we enjoyed it immensely. Moral of the story … drink it all in one sitting.
